Ready for middle school!

The Phantom of the Opera is there…..

inside my mind.

                                   

Katie got to see Phantom for her 14th birthday!  It was amazing.  We both woke up with the music still in our minds.  Katie’s two favorite parts:  Masquerade (the music and the costumes), and the chandelier.  It literally came down right above our heads!  My favorite part:  Raoul and Christine singing “All I Ask of You.”

It was playing at the Venetian.  That was fun to see, never been there before!

The Miracle

Adam brought a pumpkin seed home from school last October.  He knew it would grow if we planted it in the backyard.  His mom and dad were not so sure.  We planted it, watered it, watched it, and nothing.   At least until last month.  Who knew we could grow a pumpkin plant in Las Vegas?

We don’t know what his inspiration was for this one but we think it might have been his mother (around dinner time).  Kind of has a grunge/punk rock feel, don’t you think?

Wedding and Winning

Emily’s wedding was perfect!  The bride could not have been more beautiful.  I only wish I would have taken more pictures (surprise).

We hurried home for baseball opening day and team pictures. 

 

 

The boys convinced us to buy a few raffle tickets in hopes of winning a basket full of video games.

 

Too bad my ticket won instead!

Nascar!

That’s right, we finally went to a Nascar race!  I am surprised how much I actually enjoyed it.  The free tickets helped!

Best part:  watching the pit crews

Worst part:  losing our car in the parking lot

San Diego

Why would we go to San Diego and only take 12 pictures?  Maybe we were too busy eating at Konos, Taco Surf, and Five Guys?  We did love the science museum on a rainy afternoon.  

 

A better question is why would I take  5 pictures of a cake for the cub scout cake decorating contest?  (yes, those are awesome ding dong wheels)
